APPLE MUSIC:

Apple music works to create an audience purely based on subscriptions. As soon as people click onto the website, they have a subscription as there’s an option to try it for free for one month free of charge, this could them allow them to gain more fans as there would enjoy the option that they gain music for free. They also adapt the websites layout according to where you are based in the world, this could be successful in creating widespread audiences as then they would be experiencing what is popular in their own country that some people may enjoy. In addition to that, they have a category that displays all the ‘playlists they love’, this would then engage their audience into becoming more active as they would then indulge in that content. For example, they have playlists named, ‘new music daily’, ‘rap life’, ‘R&B now’ and ‘A-list pop’. Through the variety of genres of music that they have, they would gain a more widespread audience as there’s something for everyone, much like how there was with the two other websites. They are mostly subscription based but also allow those who are unable to have a subscription to listen to music. They also show interviews with artists from a wide range of genres, but they don’t allow for an active audience as much as the other websites – genius and billboard – due to the lack of interaction that they provide because although they have those interviews, there is not a comment section for audiences to express their views and as well as that, there’s no option to like the video.
